CNC Machining Services That Fit Your Budget and Your Specs.

Finding the right CNC machining services shouldn’t mean choosing between price and quality. At Parts on a Budget, we deliver custom CNC parts through a vetted network of manufacturers — sourced globally for maximum savings, or made domestically when compliance, timeline, or peace of mind matter most. As a CNC machining supplier with more than 32 years in the industry, we know how to match your project to the right process, materials, and price point, every time.
Why Choose Us

Why Choose Us for CNC Machining

Not every CNC machining parts supplier can offer both ends of the spectrum — deep cost savings and domestic reliability — under one roof. We can, and that flexibility is what sets us apart.

Fast Turnaround

Prototypes and production runs both — without the multi-week wait typical of overseas-only brokers.

Tight Tolerances, Held Consistently

Whether your parts are machined in our domestic network or through our overseas partners.

No Minimum Order Requirements

We’ll quote a single prototype or a 10,000-unit production run with the same attention to detail.

A Real Point of Contact

Not a support ticket queue — you’ll talk to someone who actually understands machining, not a chatbot reading from a script.
Capabilities

CNC Milling and Turning Services

Our core capabilities cover the full range of CNC milling and turning services your project might need. CNC milling handles complex geometries and multi-surface features with precision repeatability. CNC turning produces cylindrical and threaded parts to tight tolerances. For parts that combine both processes, our network includes multi-axis machining centers that complete complex features in a single setup.
Whatever the geometry, we match your part to a manufacturer that’s actually equipped to hold your tolerances — not just the first shop with an opening in their schedule.

CNC Milling

Complex geometries, pockets, contours, and multi-surface features with precision repeatability across every unit.

CNC Turning

Cylindrical parts, threaded components, and concentric features held to tight tolerances, from a handful of prototypes to long production runs.

Multi-Axis Machining

Machining centers capable of completing complex features in a single setup — reducing cost and lead time without compromising accuracy.

Global + Domestic

Two sourcing paths. Equal attention. One point of contact.

CNC Machining China: Global Sourcing Without the Guesswork

For customers focused on cost, our CNC machining China network delivers the same precision you’d expect from a domestic shop at 30–50% lower pricing. We’ve spent over three decades building relationships with vetted manufacturers across China and Taiwan, so you don’t have to manage an unfamiliar overseas vendor relationship yourself. We handle sourcing, quality oversight, and communication — you get a single point of contact and a finished part that meets spec, without the friction of coordinating directly with an offshore factory.
If your project doesn’t require domestic-only sourcing, this is typically where the biggest savings live — especially on multi-part orders and longer production runs.

Custom CNC Machined Parts, Made in the USA

When ITAR compliance, tight lead times, or direct oversight are non-negotiable, our domestic manufacturing option delivers custom CNC machined parts built entirely in the United States. This path is ideal for aerospace, defense, and medical projects where traceability and documentation matter as much as the part itself. You get the same personal service and pricing transparency, just with production kept fully on U.S. soil.

Lead Times & Quoting

Lead Times & What Affects Your Quote

Typical lead times run 3–5 business days for prototypes and 7–14 business days for production orders, depending on complexity and sourcing option. We’ll walk you through the factors up front, so there are no surprises once your quote comes back.

Need More Than Machining?

One point of contact for your whole project.

If your project also calls for custom tooling, injection molds, sheet metal fabrication, or PCB assembly, we handle those too — all through the same single point of contact, so your whole project stays coordinated instead of scattered across multiple vendors.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

We prefer STEP (.stp/.step) files since they preserve full part geometry, along with a PDF drawing showing critical dimensions, tolerances, and finish requirements. IGES, DXF, and native CAD formats (SolidWorks, etc.) are also accepted. Sending a complete file the first time helps us return an accurate quote faster.

Our standard tolerance is ±0.005″ (±0.127mm) unless a drawing specifies otherwise. Tighter tolerances down to ±0.0005″ are available for functional features like press fits, bearing bores, and sealing surfaces — but tighter tolerances add cost and lead time, so we recommend reserving them for the features that actually need them.

No. We’ll quote a single prototype or a production run of thousands with the same attention to detail. Pricing naturally improves at higher volumes, but there’s no minimum requirement to work with us.

The biggest factors are material availability (common alloys like 6061 aluminum ship fast; exotic materials like titanium or Inconel take longer to source), tolerance requirements, and secondary finishing like anodizing or plating. Incomplete drawings are the most common cause of delay — a complete file with clear tolerances and material callouts keeps your project moving without back-and-forth.

It depends on your priorities. Global sourcing typically delivers the lowest per-part cost, especially on larger orders. Domestic manufacturing is the better fit when lead time, ITAR compliance, or direct oversight matter more than the lowest possible price. We’ll help you decide based on your specific project.

Yes. We treat every design file as confidential, and we’re happy to sign an NDA before you share sensitive project details if that’s required on your end.
